The Committee focuses on the CJCC strategic objective of “Violence Prevention” with a systemic focus on education & intervention to prevent violence:
- Understand the drivers of violence in Harris County.
- Commit to violence reduction targets.
- Identify and share existing resources for violence prevention.
- Engage community in violence prevention strategies.
- Implement evidence-based prevention and intervention strategies.
